A Land Gets a New Face and a New Place....from 2 to 4 the land grows!
There is a land where Eagle kisses the sky, and your feet touch the great Maka, the holy mother and holy father are never far from the cante, the heart, and where the buffalo moves effortlessly across the plains in the strength of his Domain and numbers in the millions......this is the Land of the Lakota, this is edge of Paha Sapa, the Black Hills, the holy place...the Lakota call home.
|
The Oyate, once a tribal Family living in the Woods and lakes of Minnesota, the Teton Sioux moved west as pressure came from the East with westward Expansion, soon the Lakota would find a permanent home among the edges of Paha Sapa, Bear Butte, and the Great Mato Tipila or Devils Tower, These were now theirs as they became one with the ways of the Buffalo Nation and their hunting skills increased as did their riding on the great Holy Horses, or Sunka Wakan, HOLY DOGS, they soon would dominate a Region not by might....but by righ living for this is the way of the People...Walk softly...take only what you Need...and do all things.,
